About Gesele
A family-owned and operated independent insurance agency since 1978. Ramon Rey, Gesele's dad, started the agency after working for over 20 years as an account manager with Fireman's Fund Insurance in downtown Los Angeles. Rey Insurance Services, has served clients throughout Los Angeles county, Riverside, San Diego with protection for their most valuable asset, their home; as well as their life insurance protection. In addition, we provide our clients with a full service agency, and have coverage for rental properties, commercial buildings, autos, campers and all types of recreational vehicles. We issue bonds for state licensed business owners and contractors. We provide group and individual dental and health insurance plans from a variety of carriers, such as AETNA, BLUE CROSS, BLUE SHIELD and GENERAL ELECTRIC.
After Gesele completed UCLA in 1993 and received her Bachelors in Arts, with a degree in History and a minor in Communications, she embarked to the east coast. She completed an internship in Washington D.C., with the department of Health and Human Services in the office of the Surgeon General. She worked with the Director of Communications, as an assistant, and learned how to write press releases and get the public health messages out to the national media. As the east coast seasons changed, she was then offered an analyst position with the Alexandria, VA based, Media Research Center. This led to another position as Program Coordinator for the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Sciences. There she learned to work with corporate managers, executives and independent business owners on a variety of training programs; such as business coaching, leadership development, and team building. Luckily, these career experiences were a prelude to her future position in the world of insurance consulting, sales, and marketing. In the famous phrase by Erica Jong: “And the trouble is, if you don't risk anything, you risk even more.”
Gesele, returned to California in 1998, and has been running the agency, with her mother, Adalia, who retired from Industrial Indemnity, as an underwriter. Gesele, is a proud Bruin alumnus, and holds a certificate in International Business Management from Georgetown University. She is fluent in the Spanish language. Many of our clients refer their colleagues, friends, and family members to her for all their insurance needs. She provides personal care and concern in prescribing the best coverage, at a fair cost for the client.
Her work includes consulting with Escrow Officers, Mortgage Consultants and Realtors, that require their clients to purchase insurance at the close of escrow, for both a new purchase or a refinance. She offers free quotes on all types of insurance, especially auto and home. She looks forward to providing multiple policy discounts and affinity group discounts for educators, law enforcement personnel, firefighters, physicians and other professionals with advanced degrees, such as attorneys, realtors, and members of the Farmers Insurance Group Credit Union.
Gesele lives in the South Bay, practices yoga, belongs to a film club, and loves to travel. She has been a member of Ali Lassen's South Bay Lunch Leads Club since 2002.
